Kimberly and Paul
We met at our job at NOAA and after a lunch and a happy hour…the rest was history. Paul proposed on a camping trip on Massanutten Mountain in Virginia. We were playing games and talking and after a lull in conversation, I asked if he wanted to play Uno and he replied, “do you want to marry me?”
For us, the wedding was about adding personal touches to make the wedding more memorable. Instead of table numbers, we used names of places that were important to us like “Dunkin’ Donuts” with the reason it was important….”Kim and Paul’s Sunday AM Breakfast Spot” etc. We chose the Airlie Center to have our ceremony and reception because we wanted to get married outside in a beautiful place that represented our love of outdoors. For our colors we went with light green and lavender and we incorporated that in both our cake and the flowers. My advice is that the most memorable part of the wedding will be the personal touches you incorporate, so focus on those and have fun!
